Dehydrochlorination of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) by elimination using potassium tert-butoxide |
| 초록 |
In this study, polyvinyl chloride membrane was dehydrochlorinated by elimination at room temperature. Potassium tert-butoxide was used as reducing agent. Molecular structure and morphology of the membrane were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy equipped with dispersive X-ray spectrometer (SEM-EDX), respectively. Significant color change as a function of reaction time was also observed. Useful precursor for farther reaction was prepared with elimination in terms of molecular structure. |
