Nitrogen Doped Graphene/Carbon Nanotube Composite for Supercapacitors |

Edge-selectively nitrogen-doped graphene/carbon nanotube (CNT) composites were prepared by ball-milling graphite and multi-walled carbon nanotube in the presence of nitrogen gas. The resultant graphene/CNT composites with 3D-porous structure exhibit synergistic effects on enhancing the electron-electrolyte transports and decreasing kinetic difficulties for both charge transfer and ion transport through the electrode. These hybrid nanocomposites are promising carbon materials for supercapacitor electrodes, exhibiting a nearly rectangular shape with high specific capacitance. |
