The study deals with the wound healing membrane acts as a barrier for coverage of a damaged skin and the biological activities such as anti-inflammatory effects. Hydrogel were developed using freeze-thawing method. Aqueous polymer solutions of PVA/Pullulan in different weight ratios were mixed by homogenizer. Their PVA/Pullulan gel properties such as gel fraction, swelling, morphology, tensile strength, and anti-bacterial property were investigated. The swelling behaviors of the PVA/Pullulan gel containing phytoncide nanoparticles showed a similar pattern with the hydrogel film without phytoncide nanoparticles. All these indicate that these hydrogel would be used as a potential wound healing with excellent forming and improved healing effect in wound care. |
