Effect of Ratio on the Release Behavior of Zaltoprofen-loaded PLGA and Polyoxalate Microspheres |
초록 |
Zaltoprofen, a propionic acid derivatve non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, is known to have powerful inhibitory effect on acute, subacute and chronic inflammation. We prepared PLGA (lactide-co-glycolide), the sustained polymer rather than polyoxalate polymer, microspheres and POX (polyoxalate) microspheres loaded with zaltoprofen using an oil-water solvent evaporation method and mixing PLGA microspheres and POX microspheres by ratio. Physicochemical properties and morphology of zaltoprofen-loaded PLGA microspheres were investigated by scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, FT-IR spectra and differential scanning calorimeter. The high ratio of POX microspheres effect initial drug release and the high ratio of PLGA micospheres effect slow drug release. The results demonstrated that the adjustment of PLGA microspheres and POX microsphere ratio allowed us to control the drug release profiles of drug-loaded microspheres.
