제목 | Electronic Transport Properties of Sn-filled/Te-doped CoSb3 |
초록 | Filled skutterudites are one of the superior thermoelectric materials at high temperature. Thermoelectric figure of merit can be improved by reducing the lattice thermal conductivity through filling the voids in the skutterudite structure. This effect is so-called “rattling effect” and the void fillers act as phonon scattering centers. In this study, Sn-filled/Te-doped CoSb3 skutterudites (SnzCo4Sb11.2Te0.8) [1,2] were prepared and their filling effects on the thermoelectric and electronic transport properties were investigated. Seebeck coefficient and Hall coefficient confirmed that all the samples showed the p-type conductivity. Temperature dependence of electrical resistivity suggested that SnzCo4Sb11.2Te0.8 is a highly degenerate semiconducting material. Thermal conductivity was considerably reduced by Sn filling and the lattice contribution was dominant.
