제목 Transmission Holographic Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal Based on Fluorinated Polymer Matrices
초록 The low surface energy and great immiscibility of fluorinated polymer matrices with liquid crystal (LC) have been incorporated in fabrication of conventional holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystals (HPDLCs) and the effects have been studied in terms of grating formation dynamics, morphology, diffraction efficiency, and electro-optical properties of the films. With the addition and increasing amount of fluorine atoms, extent of phase separation between polymer and LC, channel width of LC, great mismatch of refractive index, and eventually diffraction efficiency of film have been increased. In addition, fluorinated polymer matrices lowered the anchoring strength of LC at the polymer-LC interfaces and thus reduced the switching voltage.
