제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Low Bandgap Conjugated Polymers for Organic Photovoltaic Cells
초록 Conjugated polymers have attracted much attention because of their potential applications, such as organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), photovoltaic cells (OPVs), and field-effect transistors (OFETs). Reducing and tuning energy band-gaps between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) of such conjugated systems play critical roles in optimizing the performance of electronic and photonic devices. On this background we have synthesized a series of polymers based on benzothiodiazole (BTD) acceptor monomers with varying conjugation lengths. These variations produced on the BTD monomers were found to produce increase in their power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) in organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices.
