Synthesis of Polyaniline-Nanocrystalline Titanium Dioxide Hybrids by Sol-Gel Route |
초록 |
In recent years, conducting polymers have received much attention because of their unique properties including electrical and optical properties. Polyaniline is one of conducting polymers. It shows good conducting properties as well as good stability to the environment. Incorporation of inorganic materials such as TiO2 into polyaniline may enhance the properties of polyaniline. However, inorganic nanoparticles have a tendency to undergo agglomeration because of their higher surface energy. Thus, uniform dispersion of nanoparticles of inorganic materials is a necessary condition for the sake of better interaction between polymer and nanoparticles of inorganic materials for obtaining a stable hybrid system. Polyaniline-nanocrystalline TiO2 hybrids possess excellent physical and chemical properties, and they have been widely used in sensors, solar cells and charge storage applications. In this study, polyaniline-nanocrystalline TiO2 hybrids have been prepared by interaction at the surface of TiO2 nanoparticles and polyaniline by a specially-designed sol-gel route. The crystallinity and morphology of polyaniline-nanocrystalline TiO2 hybrids were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and infrared spectroscopy. The underlying synthesis mechanism is discussed in detail. |
