Improvement of Light Harvesting Efficiency on Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells by Multi-Layered TiO2 nanostructured Films |

A multi-layered TiO2 nanostructured films were fabricated to improve the light harvest efficiency of the dye-adsorbed TiO2 electrode on dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) by the light scattering effect. Three different structures of TiO2 electrodes, with layers of 9 nm, 20 nm, and 300 nm TiO2 pastes in the average diameter, were fabricated and investigated the photovoltaic effects on DSSC devices. Utilizing the multi-layered TiO2 electrode constructed by three different TiO2 pastes, the overall power conversion efficiency of DSSC device was achieved up to 5.24 % in PEG-based electrolyte under the irradiation of 100 mW/cm2 at AM 1.5. |
