제목 | Transparent carbon nanotube based field emission device |
초록 | A simple new method to fabricate carbon nanotube field emitters was developed. Single wall carbon nanotubes with high graphitization were attached on Sn/ITO glass by arc discharge method. Post heat treatments below the deformation temperature of soda-lime glass guaranteed a good mechanical adhesion and electrical contact of the nanotubes. The morphology of the metal electrode layers was examined with the heat treatment temperatures to optimize the heat treatments. After heat treatment, Sn layer was oxidized below 400℃ and became transparent. The turn on field was 1.5 V/μm and the maximum current density was 2 mA/cm2 at 3.5 V/ μm of electric field. As increasing the oxidation temperatures, the emission properties became stable and life time of emitter has been increased.
