제목 | Adsorption of methylene blue by one pot synthesized CuS nanocomposite with reduced graphene oxide |
초록 | Nowadays, dyes are used in different sector, like dyeing industries, color paper mill, color printing, textile, cosmetics companies are using dyes for the demand of people. Unfortunately this one covers a big portion to pollute the environment as the effluents from textile, leather, food contains dyes. Adsorption is an excellent method to remove the dye from the solutions. Using a high surface area and low cost adsorbent, a promising result can be obtaine. Based on this theory, a low cost one pot method has been chosen to synthesize CuS nanoparticles (np) in combination with reduced graphene oxide (RGO). In this work, RGO-CuS nanocomposites (nc) was synthesized by hydrothermally treatment of GO and copper acetate with thiourea. The obtained product was analyzed by FE-SEM, EDS and XRD. After the confirmation of the formation of this product, it was used as an adsorbent of methylene blue (MB), where MB is adsorbate. RGO-CuS nc reached its equilibrium state faster than bare CuS np. For 20ppm MB, equilibrium adsorption capacity, qe is 16.9 and 14.2 mg/g for bare CuS np and RGO-CuS nc, respectively. More characterization of the product and the adsorption experiment is going on. |
