제목 ZnO/CdS photocatalysts synthesized from simple precipitation method for photocatalytic hydrogen generation
초록 ZnO is wide band gap material having 3.2 eV of band gap energy. Thus, there are many shortcomings came from this band gap such as visible light response. To overcome this property of ZnO, CdS sensitizer adjusted to the ZnO for heterostructured photocatalyst. ZnO was prepared from solution growth, and CdS was also from precipitation. By doing so, photocatalytic activity of ZnO improved under light condition similar to the sunlight. Moreover, these activity increased again after treated in a tube furnace, which indicates increased crystallinity and formation of another photocatalyst. But there is some limited temperature range that improves activity of photocatalyst because of shrinkage of crystal surface.
