제목 Effects of Ultrasonic Treatment Method on Dispersion of Silicates in Linear-polydicyclopentadiene(L-PDCPD)
초록 Dispersion of silicates to prepare linear-polydicyclopentadiene(L-PDCPD)/clay nanocomposites was performed by using sonication method. The horn typed sonicator employed to observe dispersion of silicates was operated with the intensity and time of sonication. Contents of silicates included in DCPD, volume of container and depth of submerged horn were also regarded as parameters for nano sized silicates dispersion within DCPD. Then, each DCPD with dispersed silicates was polymerized by in situ ROMP with grubbs catalyst. Having obtained L-PDCPD/clay nanocompoiste, mechanical properties such as tensile, flexural and impact strength were measured by UTM. In result, it was found that the appropriate conditions for well dispersed silicates were proved by improved mechanical properties of L-PDCPD/clay nanocomposites.
