ZnO-TiO2 nanotube produced by microwave assisted hydrothermal reaction |

TiO2 nanotubes doped with ZnO (TNT-ZnO) were fabricated by microwave assisted hydrothermal reaction as a function of reaction holding time. TiO2 nanotubes doped with ZnO were characterized by X-ray diffraction, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, and XPS analysis. The phase was determined by the X-ray diffraction patterns. The surface area of the TiO2 nanotubes was determined by BET method. The effects of reaction holding time on morphology of TiO2 nanotubes were studied by TEM. The energy band gap of the TiO2 nanotubes was calculated by the UV-vis DRS spectroscopy by using the Kubelka-Munk equation. Photocatalytic activities of ZnO doped TiO2 nanotubes were investigated by decomposition of rhodamine B under simulated solar light as a function of the illustration time. |
