Long-life quantum dot-LED (QD-LED) |
초록 |
The quantum dots (QDs) are very enticing material for next generation LED display and illumination due to its outstanding optical properties which are very narrow FWHM and high luminescence efficiency. Nevertheless their applications are still limited because the efficiency of QDs rapidly drops where it suffered from heat induced in internal/external systems and oxidants from environments during switch-on life test. Here we challenged to encapsulate QDs with microcapsules composed of random copolymers. According to SEM and TEM images, QDs were well dispersed and securely protected in microcapsule. The effect of encapsulation is elucidated by checking luminescence efficiency of microcapsuled QD-LED in ambient condition. |
