제목 Nanohybridized Electrolytes Containing Silver Nanoparticles for Facilitated Olefin Transport
초록 Silver ions and metallic nanoparticles have been successfully used as olefin carriers for olefin/paraffin separation. In chapter 1, it was observed that the separation performance for propylene/propane mixtures deteriorated with time because of the reduction of silver ions. The reduction reaction was prohibited by introducing strongly interactive functional groups with silver ions such as phthalate groups. Thus the interaction of phthalate groups of poly(ethylene phthalate) with silver ions has been elaborated. In chapter 2, a new application of silver nanoparticles as a novel olefin carrier was explored. The surfaces of silver nanoparticles were chemically activated using p-benzoquinone as electron acceptor. The surface positive charge was confirmed by the increase in binding energy of the silver nanoparticles with increasing silver content. It is thus expected that the chemically activated surface may form complexes with olefin molecules resulting in facilitated olefin transport.
