제목 Application of Zinc Oxide and Organic Electrolyte for High Power Conversion Efficiency in Organic Solar Cell
초록 The organic electolyte modification from viologen named 1,10-bis(4-hydroxypropyl)-[4,40-bipyridine]-1,10-diium bromide (V1) and 1,10-bis(2,3-dihydroxypropyl)-[4,40-bipyridine]-1,10-diium bromide (V2) were doped with zinc oxide and prepared as transport layer for inverted type of organic solar cell device. Improvement in the PCE of the devices results from the enhanced Jsc. This is due to the improvement in the electron collection capability from the active layer to the electron transport layer by reducing the energy barrier at the interface, i.e., transition froma Schottky to an ohmic contact. Power conversion efficiency of modified organic electrolyte also gave high efficiency compared to pristine (7.4%), the different value of V1 (9.0%) and V2 (8.6%) indicate that effect of the hydroxyl group in viologen derivatives play an important role to enhance the PCE.
