제목 Carbon Nanotube based Counter Electrode for Dye-sensitized Solar Cells
초록 This study is to show the reaction of sp2-hybridized carbons of carbon nanotube with poly(sodium styrenesulfonate) chains terminated with the 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl-1-oxyl radical-stabilizing group. Upon heating, polymeric radicals that are reactive towards the surface of carbon nanotube are released. Modified carbon nanotube showed good dispersion in water. Electrospray coated poly(sodium styrenesulfonate) modified carbon nanotube (CNT-PSSNa) film on fluorine-doped tin oxide glass substrate has been investigated as a counter electrode for tri-iodide reduction in dye-sensitized solar cells. The sheet resistance of CNT-coated layer on FTO glass was measured as the value of 23.64 Ω/cm2 by 4-point probe method. The photovoltaic parameters, in particular, the energy conversion efficiency shows a dependency on the film thickness of modified multi-wall CNTs. Under one sun illumination (100mW/cm2, AM 1.5 G), the device shows a maximum energy conversion efficiency of 5.13%.
