Activated carbon was prepared from sweet persimmon-seed by chemical activation with NaOH. It was examined the characteristics of activated carbon through BET specific surface area, N2 adsorption isotherm, and SEM photograph. Roasting process was carried out at 300~400℃ for 25 minute, carbonization process was carried out at 600℃ for 1 hour, and activation process was carried out at 450℃ and 600℃ for 2 hour. The mixing of the ratio of the sweet persimmon-seed and activation reagent was in the range of 100 and 300 weight percent. N2-BET and Langmuir surface areas of activated sweet persimmon-seed char prepared chemical activated carbon. |
