제목 Highly Permselective Graphene Oxide Membrane with Pyrene Sulfonic Acid for Vanadium Redox Flow Battery
초록 Graphene oxide (GO) membrane has special molecule transport channels with sub-nanometre(<1nm) interlayers between graphene sheets. Molecule transport channels of GO membrane have selective ability with molecule sieving and functional group interactions. Herein, graphene oxide with 1-pyrene sulfonic acid (PSA1) composite membrane was introduced onto a poly(carbonate) based porous membrane by vacuum filtration. GO/PSA1 composite membrane shows high permselectivity resulting in 10 times higher proton transport than Nafion membrane retaining similar vanadium ion transport rejection because added sulfonic group of PSA1 help proton transport with electrostatic interaction and slow diffusion of vanadium ions through GO/PSA1 composite membrane interlayers.
