제목 Preparation and characteristics of EPDM/polyamide12 elastomers through electron beam irradiation
초록 Ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) is blended with polyamide12 (PA12) at various compositions to afford thermoplastic elastomer in the presence of maleated EPDM (mEPDM) as a compatibilizer. The EPDM/PA12 blends are further irradiated with e-beam at 0 ~ 100 kGy dosage to endow selective crosslinking between the EPDM chains. The selective crosslinking of EPDM phase affords additional improvements in mechanical properties of the EPDM/PA12 blend, while retaining melt-processibility through PA12 phase.
