In this study, the acrylic quaternary polymers (PEBEVs) were copolymerized from 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2-EHA), n-butyl acrylate (BA), ethyl acrylate (EA) and vinyl acetate (VAc). The blends of PEBEVs and poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) were prepared with various compositions by solution blending. Di-2-ethyl hexyl phthalate was mixed with PVC. Thermal and mechanical properties of PEBEVs / PVC blends were compared with those of DOP system (PVC compound) by using DMA and Instron. Thermal properties of PEBEVs and their blends with PVC were investigated. Tg of PEBEVs decreased with increasing the contents of 2-EHA and BA. Tg of PEBEVs / PVC decreased as the contents of PEBEV increased, hereupon mechanical properties were investigated. |
