제목 Preparation of Lignocellulose Nanocrystals and Its Application in PVA Nanocomposite Films for Food Packaging Materials
초록 Lignocellulose nanocrystals (LCNC) with various lignin content were successfully prepared from oak wood using two stage pretreatments followed by a concentrated sulfuric acid hydrolysis. LCNC samples was introduced into a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) matrix to produce bio-nanocomposites at 10% and 50% mass ratio. With increasing of lignin content and mass ratio of LCNC samples on the nanocomposite exhibited improved UV-shielding properties, thermal stability, tensile strength, and hydrophobicity compared with the pure PVA matrix. Almost 100% of UV transmission was blocked by the PVA/LCNC 50 wt% bio-nanocomposite containing 24% lignin and its water contact angle increased remarkably from 21.9o to 96.7o. This study shows a promising nanocomposite film for food packaging.
