Incorporation of nanoparticles in polymer matrices is a field of particular interest for materials engineering and the study of nanoparticle-matrix interaction. A desirable approach would involve the blending of pre-made nanoparticles into pre-synthesized polymer. Herein, we prepared polytriphenylamine (PTPA) whose derivatives have useful properties in electrical conductivity and electroluminescence, and they are used as hole transporting materials (HTMs) in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). To study the effect of the polymer coated metal nanoparticles on compatibility, we prepared noble PS/PTPA blends system with these nanoparticles having different sizes or lengths as compatibilizers compared to diblock copolymers. To confirm the tendency of these samples, we characterized these samples by TGA and TEM. |
