Preparation and characterization of sulfonated poly (arylenethersulfone)-silica nanocomposite membranes for fuel cells |
초록 |
The Du Pont’s NafionTM or other perfluorinated sulfonic acid membranes have been used in practical systems due to their high conductivity, good mechanical and chemical stability. However these membranes have some disadvantages in reduced conductivity at low humidity or high temperature, high methanol permeability and high price. During past thirty years, many researchers have initiated a major effort in designing new and advanced polymeric materials for PEMs. In this study, sulfonated poly(arylenethersulfone)-silica nano composite membranes were prepared by the incorporation of hydrophilic and hydrophobic silica to improve mechanical, thermal and hydrolytic stability of sulfonated poly(aryleneethersulfone) and to simplify the complicated membrane process such as sol-gel process. |
