제목 | Influence of amine-treated graphite nanofibers on interfacial adhesion of polymer nanocomposites |
초록 | In this work, the amino-functionalizedgraphitic nanofibers (TGNFs) are successfully modified using atetraethylenepentamine to use as a reinforcement in epoxy composites. Tovalidate the interfacial interaction between the GNF and epoxy, composites arefabricated using three different types of GNF, namely the bare GNF, theacid-treated GNF (AGNF), and the TGNF, each with various GNF contents. Theoptimal GNF loading for the bare and AGNF is shown to be 0.50 wt.%, while thatof the TGNF is as high as 0.75 wt.%. The highest fracture toughness values of25.8 MPa.m1/2 are demonstrated for the TGNF-loaded composites with the fractionof 0.75 wt.%, representing enhancements of ~400%, respectively, compared tothose of the neat composites.
