Effect of electron acceptor-donor interaction on carbon black/natural rubber composites |
초록 |
Natural rubber as a matrix is an outstanding elastomer whose characteristics are normally enhanced by mixing it with a filler to vary the surface free energy and aggregate component ratios in relation to the application requirements. In addition, carbon black has emerged as a promising candidate to enhance rubber composites and the reinforcement of an elastomer with filler requires a strong interaction between the filler surface and elastomer. In this work, NR composites were manufactured by adding different types of carbon black and the surface properties of each carbon black were investigated for influence of interaction between NR and carbon black. The mechanical properties of the carbon black/NR composites were examined by measuring the tensile strength and tearing energy and by comparing the respective composites. |
