Bioactive Molecules-Loaded Asymmetrically Porous Matrix for Tracheal Tissue Regeneration |
초록 |
Reconstruction of the damaged trachea caused by tracheotomy, congenital disorders, prolonged endotracheal intubation, and other types of tracheal trauma is one of the most difficult procedures in otolaryngology surgery. For more effective trachea reconstruction, artificial grafts made from polymer matrices have been clinically used. However, the slow epithelial regeneration in lumen is considered as one of the crucial huddles for clinical application. In this study, we prepared an asymmetrically porous matrix with bioactive molecules [vascular endothelial growth factor and laminin] for trachea tissue regeneration with an epithelial cell layer in lumen. The morphologies of the porous matrix, release profiles of bioactive molecules from the matrix, and adhesion/differentiation/migration behaviors of muscle-derived stem cells on the matrix were investigated [This work was supported by a grant of Korea Ministry of Health & Welfare (HI14C0184)]. |
