Generally, polymer composites and alloys have superior properties than those of normal polymers. But there are some limitations which are immiscibility and incompatibility of the components in the polymer composites. Therefore, optimized compatibilizers should be considered when we research and develop the multi-component composites. In this study, the composites, EOR(ethylene-octene rubber) added nylon6/clay nanocomposites, were prepared and investigated on the thermal and mechanical properties. The maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene and ethlylene vinyl acetate were used as compatibilizers in the composites. The morphologies of the composites were characterized by SEM and TEM. The impact property of the composites was changed by EOR content and compatibilizers. |
