TAC(triacetyl cellulose) film plays an important role in LCD. It is generally used as a protective film for polarizer. The most essential requirement of a protective film is optical transmittance and optical isotropy. Because optical anisotropy of a protective film can make problems of retardation color of display and light leakage, bright dot error at the dark state. TAC film has been widely used as a protective film having optical isotropy, high transparence, moderate mechanical properties and good thermal stability. In this study, therefore, to find the optimum conditions according to the plasticizer content of TAC film. |
