Living radical polymerization (LRP) has opened a way to control the architectures and functionality of macromolecules in free radical processes, which is a critical step for their success in nano, electronic, bio and hybrid applications. In this presentation, a technology platform for facile preparation of polystyrene based functional block copolymers through LRP will be proposed. Examples of their applications as a surface modifier for nano-objects and a gel electrolyte in dye-sensitized solar cells will be presented.
