In this study, we synthesized Diphenothiazyl-benzene [DPtzB] and 3’,7’,3”,7”-Tetrakis(N-phenyl-2-naphthylamine)-1,4-diphenothiazyl-benzene[PNA-DPtzB] based on phenothiazine which is one of aromatic amine derivatives and applied it as HIL in OLEDs. The obtained compounds were identified by 1H-NMR, IR and FAB-Mass spectroscopy. Thermal properties and electro-optical properties of these materials were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), cyclic voltammetry (CV), UV-visible and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. UV maximum values of DPtzB and PNA-DPtzB are 314nm and 321nm and PL values of these compounds are 450nm and 479nm, respectively. Moreover, multilayer EL devices were fabricated using these materials as hole injection and hole transporting materials. ITO/DPtzB/NPB/Alq3/LiF/Al device showed green EL color of 520nm and 4.31cd/A luminance efficiency with CIE values x= 0.333, y=0.526. |
