제목 | Preparation of Column-Shaped TiO2·SiOx nanoparticles by a Diffusion Flame Reactor and their Photocatalytic Properties |
초록 | Column shaped TiO2•SiOx nanoparticles were successfully prepared by diffusion reactor with the mixture of titanium tetra-isopropoxide Ti[OCH(CH3)2]4 and tetraethoxysilane Si(OC2H5)4. It consists of a diffusion flame reactor with a precursor feed system consisting of a bubbler. The precursor (silica and titania coating solution) was entrained in the gas stream and introduced into the flame (LPG-air/oxygen/nitrogen). Also substrates were rotated because of their durability. The photocatalytic activities of TiO2•SiOx obtained by variations of several parameters such as different ratios (wt%) of Ti[OCH(CH3)2]4 to Si(OC2H5)4 (12:1, 10:1, 4:1 and 2:1) and three kinds of carrier gas (air, nitrogen and argon) were estimated by the photodecomposition of mercury removal. In addition, the photocatalytic activities with morphological changes were compared with those of commercially available photocatalyst TiO2•SiOx powder such as Degussa (P-25), Junsei (rutile) and Ishihara (antase). The Hg removal efficiency was measured with fluorescent light (FL40D, Osram-Korea, Korea). The morphology, thermal characteristics, the crystal form, the components, and the functional groups of column shaped TiO2•SiOx were confirmed by FE-SEM, XRD or Raman, FT-IR, respectively. |
