제목 The improvement in triboelectric properties of PVDF-coated nickel plate by direct gas fluorination
초록 Recently, triboelectric generators (TEGs) by contact electrification of two different material surfaces with electrical induction have been attracting much attention. When the surfaces of two different substances come into contact, a pair of charges are created at the interface due to the difference in electron affinity. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) materials are generally preferred as an extremely negative triboelectric materials due to their high electron affinity. In this study, the surface of a nickel plate coated with PVDF was modified by direct gas fluorination to enhance the hydrophobicity under various conditions and the change in triboelectric properties were discussed. As a result of evaluating the performance for TAGs, it was found that the triboelectric properties according to the surface modification with direct fluorination were significantly improved.
