제목 Surface and bulk modification of delafossite CuFeO2 photocathode for efficient solar fuel production
초록  Delafossite CuFeO2 is a promising p-type photocathode material for solar fuel production because of its small band gap (1.5 eV), high onset potential, earth abundant elements, appropriate light absorption properties, and relatively good bulk properties (charge carrier mobility: 0.2 cm2 V-1 s-1, lifetime 200 ns). However, this material has drawbacks of poor charge transport properties near the surface. This drawback can act as electron traps and promote charge recombination at the surface.  
 To overcome this problem, several modification strategies have done. The post-annealing of the electrode intercalates extra oxygen into the CuFeO2 lattice, which increases the charge carrier density. Acid treatment is done to eliminate disordered layer or metal hydroxide layer which is known to acts as electron traps. Additionally, several electrocatalysts are deposited on the surface of CuFeO2 to promote charge separation between the semiconductor and the electrolyte.
