제목 Dispersion Polymerization of Styrene with Bifunctional Polyurethane Macromonomer as a Crosslinkable Reactive Stabilizer
초록 The stable polystyrene microspheres were synthesized by the dispersion polymerization in the presence of novel vinyl terminated bifunctional polyurethane macromonomer. Polymerization characteristics of macromonomer system were compared to those of PVP system. The monodisperse polystyrene microspheres having the weight-average diameter of 1.8㎛ and a good uniformity of 1.002 were obtained with 15 wt% polyurethane macromonomer. The molecular weight of polystyrene prepared with macromonomer was ten-fold higher than that prepared by PVP. The molecular weight and thermal properties increased with grafting ratio of the macromonomer, but the size of the microspheres decreased.
