Piezoelectric Single Crystal Fiber Composite for Magneto-electric Harvesting |

Piezoelectric single crystal with engineered domain structure had showed high performance over the common ceramics. When single crystal was fabricated into fiber form, single crystal can show enough flexibility for larger strain and is also adequate for energy harvester from small strain due to the low mechanical impedance. Especially, magnetoelectric(ME) composites, which is the combination of piezoelectric materials and magnetic sensitive materials, are promising for energy harvesting from tiny magnetic field. The efficiency of energy harvesting can be enhanced by the proper design of ME harvester and proper selection of each material composed of ME harvester.In this presentation we report the energy harvesting performance of anisotropically oriented piezoelectric single crystal fiber composites (SFC) and magnetostrictive Ni plate. In addition, we investigated how low factor affcts the energy harvesting performance. |
