Organic photovoltaics (OPVs) have been made to explore potential applications due to advantage of solution processability and ease of fabrication. however, the recombination of electrons and holes is a major loss mechanism in photovoltaic devices that can affect their performance. By introducing an interlayer to modify interfacial characteristics, it is possible to alleviate unbalanced carrier mobility and reduce carrier recombination. In this study, OPV devices were fabricated with and without interlayer via solution process. As a result, carrier recombination within OPV devices was reduced and performance was enhanced in the device fabricated with interlayer. |
