Comparative Electrode Properties of Silver-coated PU and SBS Electrospun Nanoweb for Lung EIT Sensor |

The aim of this study is to fabricate lung electrical impedance tomography (EIT) sensor using durable electrodes with higher performance for detecting the bio-potential signal with higher resolution and for longer duration. In order to satisfy these requirements silver coated polyurethane (PU) nanoweb and Poly(styrene-butadiene-styrene) SBS nanoweb were prepared via electroless silver plating and finally, fabricated dry electrodes with a certain shape. The electrode properties of silver-coated PU and SBS nanoweb such as contact impedance, step response, noise characterization and waveform fidelity were evaluated and compared. Due to the dissimilar chemical structure and surface properties, the two kinds of electrodes exhibited different performance which is discussed in this poster.
