Carbon dioxide emitted from various industries is one of the most important source of global warming issues. Utilization of CO2 as a sustainable feedstock to produce chemical products is therefore an attractive research topic. Previously, poly(ether carbonate) (PEC) polyols were prepared by us to convert the waste CO2 into value-added polymeric materials. PEC contains carbonate groups in its chemical structure, which can be vulnerable against degradation including aminolysis. In this study, stability of CO2 -based PEC polyol is investigated. Potential synthetic pathway to convert the PEC to other polymeric materials is also investigated. This work was supported by Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP) grant funded by the Korea government (MOTIE, 20208401010080). |
