제목 | Comparative study of optical properties of the BODIPY dye depending on existence of methyl group in ionic liquid-type carbon dioxide optical sensor |
초록 | When reacting with carbon dioxide gas (CO2), certain amine solvents with a molecular liquid form convert to ionic liquid form with the increase of polarity and viscosity. Due to these properties, the ionic liquid can be applied to the carbon dioxide optical sensor by adding organic dyes with significant optical property differences depending on the polarity and viscosity of amine solvents. However, organic dyes currently used in the ionic liquid-type CO2 optical sensors have a poor visibility because of their low molar extinction coefficient and insufficient spectrum shift property. In this study, our group synthesized two organic dyes based on BODIPY moiety with or without methyl group at donor-acceptor sites (TPARF, TPARF4M). Furthermore,the effect of structural modification of BODIPY dyes on the performance of ionic liquid type CO2 optical sensor was investigated by evaluating the optical properties and CO2 detection ability of two dyes. |
