제목 Numerical Investigation of Hydraulic Pressure Effect on Self-assembled PDA Particles in a Microchannel
초록 Polydiacetylene (PDA) is a sensory polymer owing its distinctive functionality to facile blue-to-red color and fluorescent transition under the external stimuli. Despite the extensive studies on optical response of film or strain form of PDA to mechanical stress, self-assembly particles has yet to be fully considered. Furthermore, most researches in this field are depended mainly on experimental data, and numerical modeling of the system is in its early stages. The present study develops a comprehensive model based on the experimental conditions to simulate a microfluidic channel implementing a self-assembled PDA particle. Extracted quantitative mechanical stresses over the PDA particle indicates that the assessed simulation data are in good agreement with experimental results. Moreover, this model gives an insight of how hydraulic surface stress will propagate inside the PDA particle and increase transition.
