The influence of binder on the catalytic performance in methanol to propylene over HZSM-5 catalyst |

The influence of various binders on the catalytic performance in methanol-to-propylene(MTP) over HZSM-5 catalyst(Zeolyst) was studied. The catalysts bound with alumina, silica and aluminum phosphate solution(APS) were prepared respectively and characterized by XRD, N2-sorption and NH3-TPD. Catalytic performance of prepared catalysts was compared with that of pure HZSM-5. There was no significant change in propylene selectivity of catalyst bound with alumina while it was improved in the case of catalysts bound with silica and APS. The catalyst bound with APS showed the highest selectivity to propylene due to decrease of acid sites density. |
