제목 Synthesis, characterization and mechanical properties of PMMA ionomer with sodium 3-sulfopropyl methacrylate
초록 In this investigation of the synthesis and characterization of poly(methyl methacrylate-co-sodium 3-sulfopropylmethacrylate)(PMMA-SPMS) ionomer were studied. Sodium salts PMMA-SPMS ionomer on the dynamic mechanical and thermal properties were also studied styrene-based ionomers and compared to those inomers. It is observed that in the case of PMMA-SPMS ionomer, with increasing ion content, the peak position of the matrix glass transition did not change significantly and the height of the matrix loss tangent peak decreases. In addition new weak loss tangent peak appeared to above 11.7 mol% of ion. On the other hand, matrix loss tangent peak of the PS-SPMS ionomers shifts to higher temperature but cluster loss tangent peak decreased slightly with increasing ion content. This difference is probably due to the polarity difference of PS(ε=2.49-2.55) and PMMA(ε=3.5-3.7) hompolymer.
