제목 Properties and preparation of triazole fungicide nanoparticles
초록 Antifungal azole compounds are structurally diverse and characterized by imidazole or triazole functionalities. This class includes drugs such as itraconazole, ketoconazole, fluconazole, and several others. Itraconazole is a triazole agent available for treatment of histoplasmosis, blastomycosis, onychomycosis. Itraconazole is a weakly basic drug that was experimentally found to have very poor water-solubility. Itraconazole can only be ionized and solubilized in water at very low pH. This study investigated particle size reduction and related to examined the effect of particle size reduction and physical properties of itraconazole particles prepared by high shear extrusion process. Characterizations after processing, i.e., particle size analysis, drug release and morphology were performed.
