제목 Morphology and Conductivity of Block Copolymer Micelles
초록 Self-assembly of block copolymers in dilute solutions has received a great attention for past decades. In particular, ionic-neutral block copolymers, hereafter ionic block copolymers, have been the subject of many studies since they are an important component of diverse electrochemical devices such as battery and fuel cell. In present study, we carried out an in-depth analysis of ionic mobilities in model ionic block copolymer micelles. On virtue of self-assembly nature of block copolymers, the system revealed well-defined ionic micelles with different ionic domain thickness and the proton transport was found to be facilitated by the decrease in ionic domain sizes, as rationalized by the different proximity of acid groups. Interestingly, an E-field triggered morphological transition of ionic micelles was observed with a radically low field of 30V/cm. By combining small scattering and electrophoretic analysis, a unique relationship between conductivity and morphology was derived.
