제목 A study on correlation between structural and thermal properties of chalcogenide glass system for infrared molded lens application
초록 A Chalcogenide glass system having unique optical properties has been widely studied as an infrared optics application. Recently, chalcogenide glass system is mainly applied in civilian industry as well as military industry for their cost effectiveness. As compared with Ge; typical infrared material, the chalcogenide glass system is cheaply employed to infrared optics using molding process for their good moldability at low temperature. Their physical properties including structural property and moldability depend on their bonding structure. In order to analyze structural properties, Raman spectroscopy was employed to chalcogenide samples having different content ratio. All Raman spectra of chalcogenide samples were fitted with Gaussian function and assigned with individual bonding. To understanding correlation between bonding structure and chemical composition, thermal and thermomechanical properties of chalcogenide samples were measured using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermo-mechanical analyzer (TMA), respectively. It is concluded that the tendency of mean bond energy are determined with bonding ratio between hetero and homo atonic bonding. Finally, we could obtain the glass stability of chalcogenide glass system to control composition ratio for infrared lens application.
