Poly(hexamethylene sebacamide), so-called polyamide 610(PA 610)/graphene composite was prepared by in-situ interfacial polymerization with sebacoyl chloride in 1,2-dichloro benzene solution containing carbonyl chloride(-COCl) functionalized graphene and aqueous hexamethylene diamine solution. The functionalized graphene was modified the surface having -COCl group for increasing compatibility into the PA 610 matrix. The dispersion degree of the graphene in the composites was examined by DSC, XRD, and SEM technique. The thermal stability and tensile strength of the composites increased with increasing the concentration of functionalized graphene up to 6.5 times comparing to PA 610 obtained by the same polymerization technique. |
