제목 Double Emulsion-Templated Mesoporous Hollow Silica Spheres
초록 Mesoporous hollow silica spheres have been attracted much research interest because of their potential applications in drug delivery, catalysis, and separation. Here, we demonstrate that the one-pot synthetic method of mesoporous hollow silica spheres using phase separation-induced double emulsion templates. The PDMS-glass hybrid microfluidic flow-focusing device generated the monodisperse droplets containing Tetrahydrofurane, the pre-hydrolysed silica sol, Pluronic F127, and polymethyl methacrylate. The diffusion of THF to the continuous phase caused the phase separation of hydrophobic polymer in emulsion droplets. Further evaporation of the droplet phase induced the self-assembly of Pluronic F127 as template for sol-gel chemistry. TEM and BET data confirmed that the shells of obtained particles had a well-ordered hexagonal mesostructure. Also, by tuning the amount of Pluronic F127, this synthetic method could fabricate various particles such as foam-like shells and hemispheres.
