PEMFC (Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell) is a fuel cell using a polymer electrolyte membrane. As a representative polymer electrolyte membrane, Nafion, a fluorine-based polymer, is widely used. Nafion, which has excellent proton transport properties, has poor physical properties. To compensate for this, we studied a method that not only strengthens physical properties by blending PVDF, but also improves and maintains ion transportability even after blending. When Nafion and PVDF are blended and stretched, Nafion molecules are aligned in one direction and PVDF is also aligned in beta phase showing strong polarization. It was confirmed that not only improved, but also physical properties against contraction and expansion by water were strengthened. |
